I'm tired, but I can't sleep.
Only because I'm pissed. I don't presume to be a supporter of gay rights, but I am disturbed by the amendment passed in Missouri this very day. Amendment 2's purpose is to legally define marriage. I just can't see that as being right. My father stated when I brought up this fact, "Well, we have to prevent them sometime. Why not now?." To me the smallest percentage of marriage is a legal matter, it is both a spiritual and familial matter in it's largest portion. Therefore, how can legality supersede. I was one of 2,943 people in Cape Girardeau to vote No when 14,568 voted Yes.
This isn't about voting yes or no being seen as wrong, this is about having to vote on this matter being seen as wrong.
In hindsight I should have left the ballot blank in disgust.
