I really like this independent media center site mentioned on Kyle's blog; I think it needs to get some attention. I was impressed by a video clip on the UK giving the greenlight for GM crops. It's a topic that needs to be discussed further on a later date. So check out the IMC. I promise you'll be impressed too.

I saw this in Kyle's room and he called it "Commercialized Nature" and thus it was named. We do it all the time, commercialize things that are by their very nature non-commercial. We commercialize Niagra Falls, The Grand Canyon, The Smoky Mountains, the list goes on. Kyle brought this up the other day about a place in Alabama I think called Gulf Shores. I remember going there as a child and it feeling free and beautiful, but now it is commercialized to the point where it is no longer what it was. It feels so wrong.

Try to do something that doesn't come naturally to you. You might fail and look foolish, but in the end you'll gain something new and exciting that might just change the path of your life.

Okay, this is going to sound cheesy, but the best way to get the most out of life is to find love. Speaking of cheese, I love cheese. So here's an example of how loving things is the best way to know life. When I was little I made up a song that went like so, "Colby is better than Cheddar, Colby smells better than Limberger, Colby is smarter than Swiss 'cause Swiss gots holes in it's head ding dong." Now one could blow this off as a fruitless endeavor, but this song has brought many a smile to the kids and adults whom I've sang it too. Causing them not only to be interested in my song, but also to think up there own song about things they love. So whenever you are feeling down, remember what you love and let the world know you love it. I love this world, and I loved an e-mail I got last night.

I've finally found a site that describes who I am to a T. I think one of the best ways to figure out what you want in life and how to get it is to understand yourself. If anyone is wondering who I am, this is a generalized view of me. According to the Meyers-Briggs test, I'm an xNFP because it's hard to deteremine whether I'm an introvert or extrovert a variable x has been used. The creator of the site calls me an xd38

Kyle tells me, "that the really smart students have to prove they're smart, which is not what comes easy to the really smart ones, and the ones who are sort of smart but work their asses off get the spotlight, when they're really just sort of half faking knowing how it all works," and that, "people get rewarded for kissing ass and doing what the teacher tells them, not for actually having intelligence and perception and understanding and new ideas. instead the people who get rewarded are the ego climbers and the whipped mules of the world." Now, I believe this to be true, I know this to be true. But I can't accept it because I'm one of the sort of smart ones, who work their asses off and are just sort of half faking it. It's worked for me, and might be one of the main ways I get all of the free shit I do. How I survive in this world. Now I just have to find a way not to be a mule and still get the most out of life.
